COFAVACO (Collaborative Fabrication of Variability and Complexity_2007) Starting from a digital point of view, COFAVACO investigates form-making in terms of a fluid logic of connectivity and of dynamic organization between similar but still differents elements. In the realm of the digital - where the stable is replaced by the variable and singularity by multiplicity - the balance of a system is just a temporary condition. COFAVACO is a system where it is possible to address the future in a “ Eco-Logical” and relational way: A system where it is still possible to organize internally complex components, share and re-use them by adapting to new situations. The resulting picture is a sort of dynamic diagram that symbolizes the growing of that networked system which starts from the bottom/local and grows up according to – and sometime respecting - the collective intelligence of its elements.
